Bedrooms & Bathrooms

All three of the bedrooms are located poolside, and each is complemented by a private en-suite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms form part of the main building, and the third bedroom rests within its own self-contained pavilion. Each bedroom is accessed from the garden via sliding glass doors, and each features a cool tiled floor, discreet ceiling lights, air-conditioning and the additional provision of a ceiling fan. Contemporary furnishings in each room include custom built king-size beds, bedside tables and lamps, floor to ceiling curtains, full length mirrors, desks and comfy chairs. In two of the bedrooms, a dressing area is located behind the bed and completed by a wall of fitted wardrobes, shelves and drawers, fashioned in stylish dark wood. The third bedroom is also well equipped with a wardrobe and storage space.

Adjacent bathrooms follow a chic black and white theme, and are accessed from the bedrooms via sliding glass doors. Each is fitted with a bathtub, a black marble vanity unit and white ceramic washbasins. Two of the bathrooms present twin washbasins. Toilets and rain showers are hidden separately behind private doors within each bathroom, and are fitted with extractor fans. One of bathrooms boasts a rain shower that is open to the sky; it is encompassed by fluted grey granite walls and a matching non-slip floor, and is fitted with a fly screen overhead for the comfort of the guests. The other two bathrooms feature indoor rain showers positioned within spacious cubicles attractively finished with mosaic tiled splash backs.

Open-air Living Space

The open-air living space is located poolside under an innovative bamboo roof, which lets in the light while shading guests from the sun. This is a delightful place to relax and socialize on deeply cushioned sofas and ottomans.

Pool, Sundeck and Bale

The 12 x 3 meter lap pool runs the length of the walled garden, and is directly accessed from each of the bedrooms and living areas. The pool is 1.6 meters deep throughout, and is flanked by an ironwood sundeck at one end, furnished with three sun beds. No chemicals are used in the pool; instead it employs an advanced ionizer filter system that is soft on the earth and gentle on the skin. A romantic wooden bale is tucked away in a private corner; this open-sided relaxation pavilion is characterized by a raised floor furnished with a large mattress and cushions under a thatched roof. It is fitted with an electric fan, lights and music speakers. This is another lovely spot for chilling out with a book, or enjoying an afternoon cocktail.

Living & Dining Room

The semi open-air living and dining room is cooled by natural breezes and ceiling fans. The living area is tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas, ottomans, floor rugs, and modern white storage units. It is equipped with a 39-inch, LCD, flat screen, satellite TV, together with a DVD/CD player and quality sound speakers. Resting in pride of place is the villa’s namesake, a 19th century carved marble angel from Timor.

A guest washroom is situated off the living room.

The dining area overlooks the swimming pool, and is furnished with a large rustic table with a glass top, flanked by eight comfortable cushioned dining chairs.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a dream in black and white, with mosaic tiles, a marble worktop, a large cooker and a hob. There is also a ceiling fan. Fully equipped with microwave, juicer, electrical gadgets and utensils, the kitchen provides everything that the staff needs in order to prepare delicious meals. It is actually two kitchens in one, boasting a wet and a dry area. The provision of a separate staff entrance ensures that guests’ privacy is never disturbed. The staff also uses a separate and discreet route around the back of the property. The staff quarters are out of sight and include a laundry and a generator.

Living & Dining Pavilion

The spacious Living & Dining Pavilion is characterized by a soaring roof, splendid honey-colored teak wood panelling, a creamy-colored Indian stone wall and a polished marble floor. Open on three sides, it is cooled by gentle breezes and ceiling fans and dramatically lit by pendulous copper lanterns. The solid teak dining table boasts five stage banquet extensions enabling it to accommodate up to 20 guests. The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas and ottomans complemented by a glass coffee table with hidden lighting that creates a soft glow at night.

A Sonos digital music system, with many thousand sound tracks sorted into a wide variety of genres, can be controlled remotely from anywhere within the Living & Dining Pavilion, the garden or the poolside ‘bale’ Pavilion.

Media Room

A marble staircase leads from the main Living & Dining area up to the Media Room. Elegantly furnished with deeply-cushioned upholstered armchairs and a long sofa, standard lamps, a large floor rug and a built-in desk that hugs the wall, this is a great place to escape and chill out in air-conditioned comfort. Wide windows overlook the pool and curtains and timber blinds can be drawn to create a cosy ambiance.

The Media Room is well equipped with a 50” plasma screen, cable-channel TV, a DVD player and a state of the art Yamaha theatre sound system. It includes a dual microphone karaoke system, as well as a computer allowing internet access.

Entertainment Terrace

The open-air, rooftop Entertainment Terrace presents a great space for sunset cocktails. It is positioned on the same level as the Media Room and is furnished with outdoor sofas and twin solid wood tables.

Gym

The timber-clad Gym has a mirrored wall and is fitted with both air-conditioning and ceiling fans. It is well equipped with a fridge, iPod-controlled sound system, TV, cross-trainer, treadmill, weights and mats.

Bedrooms

The four bedrooms are situated in a self-contained two-storey ‘Sleeping Pavilion’ positioned at one end of the swimming pool. Each bedroom features sliding glass doors with teak wood shutters, a timber veneer floor and handmade coffered timber ceilings. Each is equipped with wardrobes, air-conditioning, a safe deposit box, a 32” TV with cable channels and an iPod docking station, complete with radio and quality speakers. Desks, chairs and reading lights are provided for the comfort of the guests. Jim Thompson silk feature fabrics make up the richly coloured cushion covers and the yielding wall panels behind the beds.

Located upstairs, the Master Bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed complemented by soft fabrics and cushions. Shag-pile rugs rest on the floor and a custom-built desk runs the length of the wall. An air-conditioned dressing area presents a twin vanity unit with ‘his & hers’ washbasins. Sliding doors open into the marble bathroom where glassless windows with wooden louvre shutters allow the cool breezes to permeate. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, raindrop shower and a bathtub.

The other upstairs bedroom is air-conditioned, presided over by a king-size bed complemented by soft furnishings themed in shades of red. An in-built daybed, located under a window opening onto the rear garden, provides a nice nook for reading in comfort. The en-suite bathroom has timber louvre shutters to allow the cool breezes to enter and afford a wonderful view of the neighbouring rice field, giving guests a privileged insight to rural Balinese life. The bathroom, fashioned in coffee and cream marble is equipped with washbasin, lighted mirror, toilet, raindrop shower and a bathtub.

The upstairs teak-wood balcony has a gorgeous rice field view. The balcony runs the length of the two bedrooms and is furnished with two built-in daybeds, making it a lovely spot to relax with a book.

One of the bedrooms, located on ground level, is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed if required. The outdoor en-suite bathroom, fashioned in coffee and cream marble, is spacious and light. It is accessible from the bedroom through sliding glass doors with wooden timber blinds. The toilet and vanity unit with washbasin is located undercover, while an adjoining private garden planted with giant taro presents a bathtub and a raindrop shower open to the sky yet sheltered from the elements by the overhanging roof. Hanging blinds can also be lowered to provide additional protection.

The other downstairs guestroom is furnished with a king-size bed harmonised with Jim Thompson fabrics themed in shades of blue and brown. Glass doors slide open to reveal an air-conditioned dressing room with well-lit mirrors, a make-up table and a circular ottoman. Latticed sliding doors, reminiscent of the rice-paper shoji screens of traditional Japanese architecture, lead into the marble bathroom, which extends into a private garden and is fitted with a toilet, washbasin and twin raindrop showers.

Kitchen & Service Area

The service area runs behind the Living and Dining Pavilion and includes the villa manager’s office, laundry with washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen fitted with Smeg appliances including a steam and convection oven.

Garden & Pool

Villa Windu Sari is securely located within a small private estate, the entrance of which is monitored 24 hours a day by a professional security team. With a garage and an adjacent night security hut outside the front entrance, the villa is entered via a pivot door positioned within a traditional Balinese gateway.

The neat walled garden integrates a sparkling, deep blue 13.5 x 4.5 metre lap pool complete with a timber deck. The depth of the pool ranges from 1.5 meters to 2.2 meters; it is accessed by wide steps and flanked by an impressive pandanas tree.

A large ‘bale’ open-sided relaxation pavilion and a Himalayan-stone water cascade are located poolside, and the deck is furnished with sun-beds and umbrella. A pool shower is provided for guest convenience.

There is a built-in 5-burner gas barbecue in a specially allocated area of the garden, creating an alternative dining or party option. Flat velvety lawns are bordered by an eclectic selection of tropical plants, flowering shrubs and trees including palms, mini hibiscus, stag horn ferns and orchids.

At night the garden and pool take on a different and special persona, due to clever recessed lighting designed and provided by Light-Com under the direction of Paul Turner.

Location
Villa Windu Sari rests within Seminyak’s ‘Golden Triangle’—a safe, up-market neighbourhood that is home to some of the classiest properties on the island. The location is close to the prestigious Oberoi and Legian Hotels, and convenient for all of Bali’s main shops, malls and tourist attractions, in addition to a plenitude of sumptuous spas, chic lounges and vibrant nightspots. Furthermore, the villa is only 20 minutes’ drive from Bali’s international airport.

The Villa is just a short stroll from the sweeping Petitenget Beach, which is well-known for its surf breaks, panoramic coastline views and picture-perfect sunsets. A wide choice of world-renowned, fine dining restaurants, including the famous Ku Dé Ta, Hu’u, Living Room, La Lucciola, Breeze at The Samaya, and Blossom at Sentosa, are all less than a kilometer away, and the area also boasts a growing number of designer boutiques. Nearby places of interest include one of Bali’s most sacred Hindu temples, Pura Petitenget, the fourth largest temple in Bali, where some of the most spectacular Balinese ceremonies may often be witnessed.

The location of Villa Windu Sari offers easy access up to the mountains and rice terraces on the western slopes; it is less than an hour from the famous cultural and artistic town of Ubud, and just five minutes’ from the start of the Sunset Route, gateway to the eastern side of the island. The nearby ‘Nirwana Bali Golf Course’ designed by Greg Norman was voted the number 1 golf course in Asia and lies beside the dramatic, waved-lashed sea temple of Tanah Lot. For horse lovers, the ‘Umalas Equestrian Center’ is just a few kilometres away, while tennis and squash amenities are available at a number of the hotels.

Seminyak’s best shopping, music clubs, chic lounges, and nightlife surround Villa Sakti, including those looking out over Petitenget Beach. Many of these options are within walking distance of Villa Sakti, or transportation can be arranged by the villa staff. For golf enthusiasts, Nirwana Bali Golf Course, a Greg Norman designed course voted number one in Asia, is just a short drive away near the revered Hindu temple of Tanah Lot. Tee-times can be arranged by the guest relations manager. For horse enthusiasts, the Umalas Equestrian Center is nearby. Tennis and squash can be arranged at several of the hotels located near the villa, including the famous Oberoi and Legian hotels.
Villa Sakti is located safely in a private estate with 24-hour security at the entrance to its private lane and its own security guard at night.

Garden and Pool
Villa Sakti’s luxurious walled tropical garden includes beautiful red and yellow bamboo, breadfruit trees and natural palms. Orchids and bougainvillea color the walls and terraces and across the villa garden are indigenous flowers and plants from around Indonesia. Water falling from numerous fountains and the infinity pool provide a background for the songs of tropical birds, or your own music from the villa’s sound system.
The entire villa compound is anchored by its stunning 18 meter pool with its own natural bio-system for water purification and filtration. The pool is perfect for laps or play, pool side coffee in the morning, pool-side drinks in the afternoon or pool-side candle-light dinner in the evening, all served by your private staff.

The beautiful deep azure pool is complemented by a teakwood deck complete with sunbeds, umbrellas and green marble side-tables. In the Balinese style, a main feature of Villa Sakti’s outdoor living space is its Balinese ‘bale’, an open-sided relaxation and entertainment area beautifully furnished for lounging, reading and relaxing.

Dining
Villa Sakti’s solid, one-piece suarwood dining table seats 12 comfortably inside, or guests can elect to dine by the pool. A private wine cellar provides guests with an unusually spectacular selection of wines from Italy, France, Spain, Argentina, Chile and Australia among others, to compliment the chef’s selections. Villa Sakti’s full time chef trained at Warisan, the famous Seminyak restaurant, and can prepare breakfasts, full lunches, snacks and dinners upon your order in the villa’s state-of-the-art kitchen or on the outdoor grill. The villa serves the finest coffees and teas from Sumatra, Sulawesi and Java. Villa Sakti’s dinning room can be open to create a feeling of outside tropical living, or closed to enjoy air-conditioned dinning.
Bedrooms
Villa Sakti offers four private bedrooms in three main buildings, all with en-suite bathrooms and full air conditioning. Sleeping arrangements are flexible with comfortable accommodations for any combination of up to 8 adults and four children. Bed arrangements for adults can be set with either four king size beds, one in each bedroom, or a king size bed in each of three bedrooms with the remaining room set with two single beds. Two rooms have additional day beds that can accommodate additional adults or children.
Each room opens to provide beautiful views of the gardens and artwork, and are complete with Bose sound systems, flat screen TVs with DVD players, complete cable television, broadband internet access available 24 hours and private writing desks in each room. An extensive library of international DVDs and music is available for your entertainment, and Bose Ipod docking stations are located in all rooms.

Showers are particularly luxurious, with overhead ‘rainshowers’ that provide extraordinary bathing, two of which are located in their own private gardens. All bathrooms are finished in warm teak, suarwood, and Javanese tiles.
Kitchen and Service Areas
Villa Sakti’s kitchen and service areas are separated from guest living and garden areas so normal staff activities do not disturb guests. The kitchen is state-of-the-art and furnished with German and Italian appliances. A modern grill provides alternatives for grilling and entertaining in the garden. Laundry and dry cleaning is arranged by the staff and is returned within one day. Special meals can be prepared upon order. Offices for the staff and guest relations manager are completely separate from the guest areas to ensure your privacy. Staff are on duty 24-hours per day and, as with all six-star resorts, can be reached by the integrated phone network installed throughout the villa.
